Heard about the Voodoo Afrika Skills Challenges? If not read on...
Last year we piloted (that means 'tested' for those of you that thought
we could fly!), a SKILLS CHALLENGE concept in Maritzburg and Durbs. We
had such a good response that we've decided to make them a permanent
fixture on our calendars, only this time bigger and better than before.
THE CONCEPT:
Voodoo Afrika, aims to bring you guys the heroes and heroines that are
so lacking in hockey, and to give you a way of testing your skills so
you can measure your improvement, and compare yourself to the stars! We
believe that the ‘skills challenge’ should provide you with an
experience you’ll never forget:
• exposure to a ‘hockey hero’
• having fun whilst testing and learning new skills
• a gold and green Voodoo Afrika Tee-shirt!
‘As a kid growing up, I spent thousands of hours on the side of the
field while Mum and Dad played their hockey. My brothers and I were
constantly developing our skills playing small games against each
other. Skills are the cornerstone of a successful career, so find out
about a skills challenge in your area and have fun as we go through the
